Level 5 entwickelt fünf Spiele für den 3DS… und zwar nicht irgendwelche!

Aus Zeitgründen muss ich diesen Artikel hier leider ein wenig kürzer halten und eigentlich berichte ich auch nicht über jede Spielankündigung, aber auf der Pressekonferenz gab es schon die eine oder andere interessante Präsentation, über die ich kurz Auskunft geben möchte.
Die Ankündigung des Entwicklerstudios “Level 5″, welches vor allem durch Spielereihen wie “Dragon Quest” oder “Professor Layton” bekannt wurde, die ich als großer Ace-Attorney-Fan zweifellos am spannendsten finde, ist “Professor Layton VS. Phoenix Wright“. Ja, ihr habt richtig gelesen, es wird ein Crossover-Game von “Professor Layton” und “Phoenix Wright” für den 3DS geben!
Nein, das ist kein Fake!
Als vor einiger Zeit anlässlich des nahenden zehnten Geburtstages der gesamten Ace-Attorney-Franchise (zu der natürlich auch Phoenix Wright gehört) die Entwicklung eines neuen Spiels mit Ace-Attorney-Beteiligung bestätigt wurde (Stichwörter: “Witch Trial”), waren meine Erwartungen wie bei jedem Spiel dieser Reihe immens hoch, doch die Tatsache, dass der Crossover-Partner ausgerechnet und kein Geringerer als Professor Layton sein würde, übersteigt wirklich meine kühnsten Träume. Auch wenn ich die Layton-Spiele nicht ganz so liebe wie vielleicht manch anderer, zähle ich mich durchaus zu den Fans dieser Reihe. Ich würde sogar so weit gehen, zu sagen, dass ich mir keine bessere Kollaboration im Spielebereich wünschen könnte. Wahrlich ein Pakt von Giganten!
Drei epische Minuten.
Und wenn mich meine Lauscher nicht täuschen, wird Phoenix von Kamiya Hiroshi (unter anderem Zetsubou Sensei, Araragi) gesprochen? Kann jemand meinen Eindruck bestätigen? Zumindest klingt der Sprecher so wie er. Oh mein Gott, wie genial soll das Spiel noch werden. O_o
Aber nun erst mal genug geschwärmt (auch wenn ich das Tage lang machen könnte), widmen wir uns jetzt den Fakten:
Das Spiel soll davon handeln, dass sich Layton und Phoenix sich in einer anderen Welt wiederfinden, wo Realität und Illusion sich vermischt haben. Genauer gesagt ist der Ort des Geschehens Labyrinth City. Hier ist Magie real, auch wenn sie sich im Verborgenen hält. Der Antagonist ist der “Storyteller”. Alles, was er in sein Buch schreibt, trifft ein. Phoenix und Layton übernehmen auf die Aufgabe, eine angeklagte Hexe (hier vermute ich eine Anlehnung an das Mittelalter) in einem Gerichtsprozess zu verteidigen. Um der Wahrheit auf die Spur zu kommen, müssen die beiden ihre jeweiligen Fähigkeiten aufbringen: Während Layton Rätsel löst, ist Phoenix für die Action im Gerichtssaal verantwortlich.
Klingt erst mal beeindruckend und dies wird es mit Sicherheit auch werden. Denn die Entwicklungsleitung übernimmt kein anderer als Shu Takumi, der auch die bisherigen Ace-Attorney-Spiele kreiert hat. Dann kann also nichts mehr schiefgehen!

Dann schauen wir uns doch schnell noch mal die anderen Spiele an.
Als nächstes hätten wir da das RPG “Fantasy Life“, welches ursprünglich für den DS geplant war, nun aber für den 3DS umgesetzt wird. Aus Zeitgründen muss ich das Spiel, das ein wenig an “Animal Crossing” erinnert, etwas vernachlässigen, aber den Trailer möchte ich euch der Vollständigkeit halber natürlich nicht vorenthalten:
Wesentlich interessanter finde ich das Spiel “Time Travelers“, dessen Entwicklung Jiro Ishii leiten soll, der auch für “428″ (Vorlage für den Anime “Canaan”) verantwortlich war, einem Visual Novel für die Wii, welches für seine gute Story gelobt wurde (das japanische Spielemagazin “Famitsu” vergab 40 von 40 Punkten).
Beim knochigen Freund im Hintergrund handelt es sich übrigens nicht um White Skull.
Wie der Name es schon vermuten lässt, handelt das Spiel von Zeitreisen. Bei den Charakteren haben wir es wiederum mit Skeleton, einem Terroristen mit Kenntnis über die Zukunft, und dem Mädchen Mikoto Shinmichi zu tun, welches ebenso die Zukunft kennt.
Halloween ist doch erst nächste Woche?
Der Trailer, den Youtube-User netterweise gesubbt haben, zeigt nicht nur eine schöne und saubere Grafik, sondern auch die Möglichkeit, Einfluss auf die Story zu nehmen, denn offensichtlich hat der Spiele immer wieder die Wahl zwischen Multiple-Choice-Antworten.
Hmm… die Uhr muss kaputt sein. Ich starre jetzt schon Ewigkeiten drauf und es hat sich immer noch nichts getan…
Ich bin schon mächtig gespannt auf dieses Spiel und hoffe, dass es auch den Sprung nach Europa schafft. Daumen drücken!
Ganz bestimmt in Japan verbleiben dürfte hingegen das Spiel “Kyabajoppi“, welches von Hostessen handelt. Und mehr möchte ich dazu eigentlich gar nicht sagen. Dass es Leute gibt, die es als Beruf haben, ist ja noch okay, aber das ganze nachspielen? Wer braucht denn so etwas?
Immerhin haben es einige Kultcharaktere ins Spiel geschafft, aber die retten das ganze auch nicht mehr…
Und wenn ihr den Trailer schon bescheuert findet, dann schaut euch erst mal den zur Handy-Version des Spiels an (ich weise noch mal darauf hin, dass Kotatsu Revolution keine Haftung übernimmt).
Als Letztes wäre da noch mal Professor Layton, dieses Mal allerdings mit seinem Solo-Spiel “Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle“. Bei diesem handelt es sich bereits um den fünften Teil der Reihe (jaja, fleißig, die Freunde von Level 5). Da hierzulande in den nächsten Tagen erst der dritte Teil erscheint, Teil 4 uns logischerweise auch noch vorenthalten wird und wir die Layton-Spiele und ihre Klasse bereits kennen, muss ich wohl nicht mehr viele Worte über das Spiel verlieren.

Abschließender Kommentar zu den Spielen:
Meine Begeisterung über die Ankündigung von Layton VS. Phoenix habe ich wohl schong genug zum Ausdruck gebracht. Das Spiel wird für mich ein Pflichtkauf und lässt den 3DS noch höher in meiner Gunst steigen. Zugleich erhoffe ich mir, dass der dank Werbekampagnen von Nintendo international bekanntere Layton der Ace-Attorney-Reihe zu einem höheren Bekanntheitsgrad verhilft. Und wäre dies nicht hervorragend für einen fünten Ace-Attorney-Teil?
Gespannt bin ich auch auf Time Travelers, das ich im Auge behalten werde. Wie gesagt bin ich mir aber unsicher bezüglich einer Veröffentlichung im Westen und drücke die Daumen.
Fantasy Life reizt mich persönlich weder stilistisch noch thematisch, aus qualitativer Sicht macht es aber einen soliden Eindruck. Es wird sicherlich seine Käufer finden.
Und was Kjabajoppi angeht… nun ja, sagen wir es mal so: Es sorgt gewiss für eine größere Vielfalt des 3DS-LineUps.
Bei Layton kommt natürlich erst mal Teil 3 dran. Teil 5 ist aber natürlich auch willkommen, sobald der 3DS erschienen ist.
